Treatment for eczema?

Hi all

I was wondering if anybody knew of any effective cream treatments for eczema. I am tired of having to go see a GP to get a prescription for a cream that I will need for the rest of my life. Why they cannot give me inifiinte repeats is beyond me. I tend get lazy and not bother getting a new tube because I hate waiting at the GP (It's so boring). As a result, my eczema gets worse. If it was something I could pick up on the way home from a shop or even buy on the internet, that would be good.

Anyway I am after something that is an effective as Celestone M Cream and about that price range. I pay $14 Australian for 2 x 100g tubes and that lasts about 6 months. Something around $20 max would be good.

Thank you :DTreatment for eczema?
Hello, the most effective homemade cream for eczema on the market to even date is from http://www.champori.com It is herbal, with no steroids, and no allergens. It is greasy and doesn't smell like perfume, but the smell disappears shortly after the application. The main thing is that it Works. If it doesn't - it's free (money back policy)Treatment for eczema?
';Although there's no cure, eczema can be successfully treated with prescription medications. Here are eczema treatment options you may be using:

Corticosteroids (steroids) can also be effective in reducing itching and redness associated with eczema. Among these are:

Elocon庐 Cutivate庐 Ultravate庐

Diprolene庐 Aclovate庐 Locoid庐

Dermatop庐 Psorcon庐 Betamethasone庐

Mometasone庐 Triamcinolone庐 Fluocinolone庐

Hydrocortisone

Topical immunomodulators, or TIMs, can help reduce the itching and redness of eczema. TIMs are the newest class of drugs in over 40 years to treat eczema, and they do not contain steroids. TIMs include:

Elidel庐 Protopic庐

Antihistamines can be used to reduce the itching of an eczema flare-up. However, these eczema treatments can often cause drowsiness. Some oral antihistamines are:

Benadryl庐 Zyrtec庐

Cold compresses can be an effective treatment for relief from itching caused by eczema.

Antibiotics are used to treat skin affected by eczema that has become infected. They kill the bacteria causing the infection.';
there's an oatmeal bath called aveeno or you can try buying a soap called basic or pamolive try it and good luck.
Both of my kids get eczema once in a while, I got tired of going to the doctor to get prescriptions. When it's back I get them any cream that has Hidrocortizone. But what works more than anything is reducing stress. They get it back when they are going through stressful events. Unfortunately, I have been told many times, there is no cure, if it dissappears, it will be on its own.

Good luck

Ana
trimoncolone or something like that. they come in ointments which is really greasy but it works faster, creams that isnt all greasy and lotion, which is mostly water.

i would recomend the ointment one because even though its greasy and stuff and uncomfortable to go to bed with, it works the best.
I am not sure of the drugs approved in Australia but in the United States there are no over the counter medications for eczema other than hydrocortisone which is a weak corticosteroid. You need a prescription to get Elidel, Triamcinolone, Desonide, Betamethasone, Clobetasol, etc which are all used for eczema. All of the above are corticosteroids except for Elidel. It is a brand medication that does not thin the skin like the steroid creams do. I advise people to use that one for their face and hands as it is not cheap and depending on the person, not as strong as the steroids. Hope this helps a little as far as your options.
