Treatment for eczema for babies?????????

i have a 8 month old boy, he has eczema although its mild. however one day i noticed that he had a rash on his legs and arms, it was as though his legs were beginning to swell, i quickly opened the window coz it was quite hot and after a few seconds he stopped crying and eventually the rash went.

ive been putting a cream on his face called oilatum recommended by my health visitor, but that didnt work, it made his skin really dry. and now im putting aveeno cream on his face, when the rash goes i stop putting the cream on but then it comes back again so i have to strat putting it on his face again, is there anything permanent that can get rid of his eczema, my health visitor said that he'll just grow out of it, but what can i do meanwhile?????Treatment for eczema for babies?????????
babies have very delicate skin. it is best that you consult a skin care expert to get some good treatments that can be suitable for your baby's skin. it is always good to use skin care moisturizer that comes all natural since it can be best for all skin type and for any age.

keep your baby's skin from skin irritants and allergens for these might trigger an outbreak. keep him hydrated by giving adequate amount of water to avoid the skin to become dry. for more tips about good skin care visit http://www.skinoriginal.comTreatment for eczema for babies?????????
The best cream I have ever come across for eczema with dry and sensative skin is actually a herbal cream called Calendula that is sold in most pharmacies and is made by Nelsons. Because it is not medicated it does not cause any dryness of the skin and is especially good for sensatie skin such as that of babies. I think you should give it a try and see if it works out. I have found it much better than all of the medicated creams available. Hope that helps xxx
My daughter has eczema as well and I was lucky enough to be introduced to an all natural remedy for her. TruKid makes two products, the Hero Stick and Rockin Rash Relief, which contain anti-inflammatory and moisturizing herbs. They both work to decrease irritation and dry skin wonderfully! Because children's' skin absorb chemicals so much more readily, it is especially important that you use natural products on them. When I was recommended it by a friend, I called the company to ask questions and they offered to send me samples. I'd recommend their products to anyone!
Your Health Visitor is right, so just keep using the Aveeno exactly as you are doing. It will help reduce the itching for him and therefore reduce his irritability. Otherwise, keep his skin moisturized with a non perfumed cream such as Doublebase. Some baby products have been found to have ingedients quite irritant to babies. Among them, the Johnson %26amp; Johnson range.
i suffered alot from eczema when i was younger, my doctor gave my mum alot of creams none of them reli worked.

They stop the warmth and cool me down for a while but nothing really worked pernamently for me.

Eventually when i got older it did go away.

Heat triggered mine off alot, so just try help your baby stay quite cool. Your doctor should give you different creams to try, they could be successful :D good luck.
My son had eczema when he was a baby and that was exacerbated by the heat ,we tried all creams but found diprobase to be the best for him, also when it was really irritating him we were advised by our Health Visitor to Wet wrap him-this was soaking a bandage in the cream wringing it out and putting it over the area which gave him great relief. He eventually grew out of it but it seems a long way off when they are so small
Often skincare products can contain unnecessary ingredients such as colors or fragrance.

But also look out for harsh preservatives, like parabens, which can trigger an eczema flare-up.

I found a really useful site that lets you compare the ingredients of several leading brands, its from a company called exederm

Exederm make ultra hypoallergenic skin care products for adults and kids with eczema or dermatitis

Often times exzema in children is a result of food allergies...that is something you may want to investigate, the most common culprits seem to be dairy, wheat and peanuts.

There are some alternatives you could try also..Use natural products such as soaps and lotions, oatmeal baths, etc.

If you're looking for an organic solution try Aloe %26amp; Marigold from a brand called KuK Organics. It did wonders for my eczema. A bit pricey but does the job without harshful chemicals too.

You can google it or I think the site is

I suffered from mild eczema when was younger and like your situation no cream really seemed to work. Then someone told us to stop using biological washing powder or tablets %26amp; switch to non bio products %26amp; this really did help i have never had a problem since.

Hope this helps you. x
you need to see your g.p with this problem avoid using anything on babies skin that contains lanolin
Aquaeous cream is very good. It is cheap from independent chemists and Lloyds. (not boots!) You can use it as a cream and as a soap. Don't use bubble baths for the baby and maybe use a sensitive washing powder. The doctor or health visitor should be able to prescribe oilatum form the bath.

Also if your child shows any other symptoms of intolerances such as wind, diahorrea, colic etc might be worth getting them intolerance tested
My grandson's atopic eczema was treated successfully by a Chinese doctor based on Dr.Nambudripad's allergy elimination technic.
