Does anyone ahve any information on the newer eczema treatment Protopic?

During my research,I found that the oral method isn't approved by the U.S.,and that some websites say that the cream can cause burning and more irritation. My youngest child has severe eczema.Anyone have info on this before I choose a different medicine for him? His pediatrician doesn't have an opinion on the drug.Does anyone ahve any information on the newer eczema treatment Protopic?
Try this website: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/print鈥?/a>

Go to the pharmacy and ask for the package insert. That will tell you EVERYTHING and then some.

Good luck
honestly i have no clue on this one, but if you do find out anything, i would appreciate the answer as well. I had had eczema since birth. Though there is no cure, would be nice if something made it more comfortable
Well I can tell you that Elidel is not as strong as Protopic ointment and its the best thing out there. The burning is not that bad and it can cause irritation but it doesnt last long. In two weeks his eczema will be much improved and almost gone. Your pediatrician SUCKS. You need to go to a dermatologist. Regular doctors who are not speicalized in skin diseases are NOT helpful when it comes to skin conditions. I have used it for a while now and its great. I also have severe exczema but it has been undercontrol for almost a year now.
